Characters Bios:
Egon Spengler – Dr. Egon Spengler is one of the original Ghostbusters. He is considered the brain behind the Ghostbusters and has designed and built nearly all of their equipment, including the Proton Pack.
Peter Venkman – Dr. Peter Venkman is one of the original Ghostbusters. While Peter is a scientist, he isn’t as technically experienced or academically inclined as Egon and Ray. Peter often slacks off on experiments and turns his attention to women and other subjects.
Ray Stantz – Dr. Raymond “Ray” Stantz is one of the original Ghostbusters and the most devoted to the pursuit of studying the paranormal. Ray displays a level of exuberance when it comes to Ghostbusting and paranormal science in general, unmatched by any of his colleagues.
Winston Zeddemore – Dr. Winston Zeddemore is the fourth member to join the Ghostbusters after replying to a help wanted ad. Winston is perhaps the most conventional. He is the common man of the Ghostbusters. He is a highly responsible and dependable person.
Slimer – Slimer is a ghost made up of pure Ectoplasm and the first ghost successfully captured by the Ghostbusters. Slimer is well known for his gigantic appetite and the slime he leaves behind when he passes through solid objects.
Janine Melnitz – Janine is the first person hired to work at the Firehouse. She maintains the phones and keeps track of appointments, calls, messages, etc. She shows a romantic interest in Egon Spengler, but he does not return her advances.
Gozer the Destructor – Gozer is the archenemy of the Ghostbusters- an ancient, ultra-powerful, malignant entity from another dimension who is summoned to New York City to destroy the world. Gozer was originally worshiped as a god by the Hittites, Mesopotamians, and the Sumerians around 6000 BC.
Zuul – Zuul is a demigod and minion of Gozer the Destructor. Zuul is assumed to be female due to being known as The Gatekeeper and for possessing a female host instead of a male host, such as Dana Barrett.
Library Ghost – Also known as the “Grey Lady”, the Library Ghost is the haunting apparition of librarian Eleanor Twitty. She is the very first ghost that the Ghostbusters encounter.
Dana Barrett – Dana Barrett is the first customer for the Ghostbusters. She is a professional cellist in “a major symphony orchestra,” presumably the New York Philharmonic. Dana later becomes the female host for Zuul, transforming her into The Gatekeeper.
Stay Puft Marshmallow Man – Also known as Mr. Stay Puft, this 100-foot tall homicidal mascot is the chosen Destructor Form of Gozer, bent on destroying the Ghostbusters, New York, and perhaps even the world.
