Character Bios:
Ellen Ripley
Ellen Ripley was the warrant officer aboard the Nostromo in 2122 when she encountered the alien species that would alter her destiny. Levelheaded, tough, and resourceful, Ripley survived the slaughter on the Nostromo through intelligence and raw survival instinct, but after her revival from hyper-sleep in 2179, she remained haunted by visions of the episode and committed herself to eradicating the species in the face of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation’s repeated attempts to secure a specimen for its research.
Lance Bishop
Bishop was a hyperdyne systems model 341-B synthetic with the United States Colonial Marine Corps, assigned to 2nd battalion bravo team. He served as executive officer aboard the USS Sulaco, joining the combat unit deployed to LV-426 in 2179 to investigate the sudden loss of contact with the colony of Hadley’s Hope. As a technician, Bishop wasn’t designed for combat, but he possessed extraordinary speed and muscle control – and, despite Ripley’s misgivings after her experience with the older android Ash on the Nostromo, Bishop demonstrated courage, loyalty, and a willingness to sacrifice himself for his comrades.
William Hudson
Private First Class William L. Hudson was a combat technician in the United States Colonial Marine Corps, part of 2nd battalion bravo team. He was a member of the combat unit deployed to Acheron aboard the USS Sulaco in 2179, to investigate the sudden loss of contact with the colony of Hadley’s Hope. He was subsequently involved in combating the xenomorph infestation at the colony.
Jenette Vasquez
Private First Class Jenette Vasquez was a smartgun operator with the United States Colonial Marine Corps, part of 2nd battalion bravo team. She was the sister of Carmen Vasquez. Jenette was a member of the combat unit deployed to LV-426 aboard the USS Sulaco in 2179, to investigate the sudden loss of contact with the colony of Hadley’s Hope. She was subsequently involved in combating the xenomorph infestation at the colony.
Xenomorph
The xenomorph is a highly adaptive predatory species originating in experiments conducted by the engineers on LV-223. The species’ behavior is aggressive, parasitic, and collectivist, with a hive-based social structure under a single queen. Upon introduction into an environment, it will either co-opt or annihilate all rival species. The species can withstand both extreme high and low temperatures, and is known to survive in the vacuum of space. Its exoskeleton is highly durable, and its blood possesses corrosive properties capable of regrading most metals. Xenomorph reproduction requires the presence of a host, and offspring take on physical characteristics of the host in order to maximize fitness within its environment.
Rebecca “Newt” Jorden
Rebecca Jorden, known as “Newt,” was the sole survivor of the Hadley’s Hope settlement on LV-426 after a xenomorph infestation annihilated the colony. Taking refuge in the command center’s hidden passageways, Newt was badly traumatized and nonverbal when Ellen Ripley and the Colonial Marines found her during their fact-finding mission. As she recovered from her feral condition, Newt bonded with Ripley, who came to regard her as a surrogate daughter.
